THE PLAZA GROUP ADDS INDUSTRY LEADER TO ITS BOARD OF ADVISORS

(HOUSTON, TEXAS) The Plaza Group (TPG) once again bolstered its strategic core by adding John R. Yanney, a chemical industry leader to its Board of Advisors. TPG President Randy Velarde will formally announce the addition at this year's Client Seminar in Santa Fe, New Mexico later this month.
Mr. Yanney was President of USA Operations for UNIVAR USA, Inc until his retirement earlier this year. UNIVAR NV, based in The Netherlands, is the largest chemical distributor in the world with sales of nearly $5 billion.
From 2001-2007, John was President and Chief Executive Officer of CHEMCENTRAL Corporation. During his tenure CHEMCENTRAL became the world's largest privately-held distributor, increasing revenues to over $1.4 billion. In 2007, he led the negotiations and sale of the company to UNIVAR.
John served in many positions at CHEMCENTRAL including finance, sales and executive management over a thirty-two year career. He holds a B.A. in Accounting and a minor in Business from Marion College, Indianapolis, Indiana. He and his wife, Kathy have one daughter, Robyn and reside in Burr Ridge, Illinois.
